Stenosing Tenosynovitis (Trigger Finger) If you wake up in the morning and your thumb or finger is “locked” in a flexed position, you may have a trigger finger. Trigger finger or (Stenosing Tenosynovitis) is inflammation around the tendons to your fingers or thumb.
