When is the office open?

Our normal business hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

How do I schedule an appointment?

Call our office at 281-440-6960 during normal business hours, and someone will be happy to assist you in scheduling an appointment that is convenient for your schedule. If you have online access and would prefer to schedule an appointment, click here.

I'm not sure if you accept my insurance coverage. What should I do?

Insurance carriers are constantly changing contracted physicians for different employer groups. Therefore, it is always wise to verify insurance coverage before scheduling services. If you are not sure whether your particular doctor participates in your plan, check our list or call your insurance company to see if the doctor is included on your plan.

I ran out of my medication. How can I get a refill?

Please contact your pharmacy. They will notify our office of your request. Refill authorizations are given 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday-Friday only, so that your medical records will be readily available to your physician. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for refill authorization.

I need a prescription for pain. Can I get one without coming into the office?

KSF Orthopaedic Center physicians will not write prescriptions for any medication without first having examined a patient to assess his or her condition. The physical examination allows the doctor to determine exactly which medications a particular patient may require to improve his or her condition, and this is not something that can be done over the phone. If you feel like you need pain relief, call to schedule an appointment with one of our physicians. He will be happy to discuss your situation with you, and suggest appropriate management strategies, which may or may not include pain medication.

What if my condition requires crutches, a brace or splint, a sling or some other appliance or soft goods? Where will I get those?

Everything that is needed to treat your condition will be provided for you prior to your departure from KSF Orthopaedic Center. Please note that some insurance companies require you to obtain these items from specific medical supply companies. It is best to check ahead with your insurance carrier.

What if I need an X-Ray or MRI?

On-site diagnostics, including X-rays, MRIs and Bone Density Testing, is available at the KSF Orthopaedic Center as a convenience to our patients and their families.

How long will it take to get my test results?

Normally, it takes three working days to get your results. At the time of your visit, your doctor will tell you how to obtain the results of your test. Your doctor's nurse may contact you, or you may be instructed to call our Results Line to get the information.

What should I do if I have an emergency?

Our phone is answered 24 hours a day. If you have an emergency after hours, you may call our regular number, 281-440-6960, and the operator will refer you to the doctor on call. If your situation is severe, please go to the nearest hospital emergency room as quickly as possible. After your condition has been assessed, the hospital will contact the appropriate doctor for you.
