Ray M. Fitzgerald, MD
Aug 30, 2014
It is with mixed emotions that I am announcing my retirement from the practice of Orthopaedic Surgery effective September 1, 2014. I have had a wonderful professional career at KSF and will have been practicing orthopaedics for 38 years at the time of my retirement, including two years in the US Air Force before joining KSF. It is not easy to leave but it’s the right time to enter the next phase of my life opening up more time for my wife, children and grandchildren as well as time to “give back” in volunteer activities. I have treated many wonderful patients over the years including second and third generation families and I will always carry fond memories of these relationships.
As I leave, KSF is welcoming two new associates, Timothy Miller, M.D. and Neil Dunleavy, M.D. who will be available for your continuing care needs along with our other KSF physicians. Knowing the uncertainties facing future health care delivery, I can assure you KSF will strive to continue providing the most comprehensive and professional orthopaedic care possible. Your medical records will remain with KSF to provide uninterrupted care when you return to KSF after my departure. Of course, you are free to seek medical care from other physicians if you like. Your records are confidential and a copy can be transferred to another doctor or released to you or to another person you designate only with your permission. If you choose to see a different physician, please contact the office about transferring your records to your new doctor. Should you need help in searching for a new physician, please contact The Harris County Medical Society: 713-524-4267.
Information on all our doctors and services can be found on the KSF website at www.ksfortho.com and appointments can be made online or by calling 281-440-6960.
I am eternally grateful to my fellow KSF physicians, dedicated staff, administration and most of all my patients for their support through the years and for assuring a most enjoyable career.
Best wishes, Ray M. Fitzgerald, M.D., F.A.C.S.
